Features of Each Player Part 1

By: Samuel

After playing together for the 5th year, more or less we know the playing style of each other. Let me analyse the playing style of each player. If you are not on today's list, then you shall be listed on Part 2. Here goes.

#13 Ming GK/SS

He must be sick of stopping people from scoring goals. So in recent months, he decided to score THE goals. Only a fine line separates him from Ariff in terms of goalkeeping. He is the most aggressive player, sometimes resorting to very heavy blows to the opponents.

Noted for: Agressiveness

#19 Ariff DF

The scene of him saving the shot with one hand in Telok Blangah will always be remembered by members of Bukit Panjang FC. He is the most bulky and physical player in the team, along with Guo Qiang. Lean players might need a little more skill to get pass him.

Noted for: Goalkeeping

#14 Ren Jin DF

"Cheebye". Expect him to deliver A&E tackles from the start to the end, carrying a never-say-die attitude with him. Actually, I would like to see him in a attacking position, defending from the front. It makes the defending more efficient. Strikers, beware of him..

Noted for: Bone Crunching Tackles

#11 Farhan Daud DF/MF

I always label him as the Giggs of our team. Cos' his dribbling, shooting, passing style looks like Giggs! When the team is not scoring goals, you can rely on him sending a rocket shot past the goalkeeper out of no where. He is the most powerful shooter in the team.

Noted for: Rocket Shots.

#7 Hong Qin DF/MF

When things in the team is not working well, he will shout aloud to vent his frustrations. He can defend, score, pass. The most versatile and best passer in the team.

Noted for: Accurate Passing.

Players: FarhanDaud; RenJin; Azhari; FarhanYazid; HongQin; Samuel; QingHuang; GuoQiang

It was reported that one of the team's players walked away from the court, citing a reason that he had to buy something for his father.

We caught up with him and asked for more details.

"I really got to buy 4D for my Dad. There's a really long queue."

Asked whether his departure had anything to do with the sudden appearance of several players, he said:

"Well, I don't know. He came uninvited, so perhaps he should stop criticising my teammates. I suggest he bring his own team next time. I really have to go! Look at those aunties fighting for my spot in the queue!! HEY!!! That's my spot!!"

Top GoalScorers Today:

HongQin (10 goals)
Farhan Yazid (8 goals)
Ming (5 goals)
QingHuang (3 goals)

Players: Farhan Yazid; RenJin; QingHuang; HongQin; Ming; GuoQiang.

With so many players missing from the squad including a last minute pull-out from the captain Samuel, we electrify and went home unbeaten throughout.

An Ad For More Girlfriends.

There Was A Streaker & A Masturbater Now.

There was a long ball from the keeper and Farhan Yazid cooly made a great first touch lob over the stranded keeper!! Hows that for great ball control and technique?? The ball didn't touch the ground in that one sweeping move.

19th June Football Report

Players: Nash, Farhan Yazid, Samuel, Ariff, Ming, HongQin, QingHuang, Suhaili, GuoQiang.

There was a brawl between 2 of our players today. GuoQiang rammed the ball hard back into his own defensive half for HongQin to pick it up. But instead, HongQin, being the last man, told QingHuang to pick the loose ball.

QingHuang was further upfront and ran back to take the loose ball, somehow lost the ball and conceded a soft goal.

Watch Ariff Juggle!

QingHuang's Biceps Belong To His GF.

GuoQiang, after the match, was accusing HongQin of not picking up the 'mis-passed' ball while HongQin was berating the former for mis-kicking the ball.

Even if it's a mis-kicked and the ball is loose, shouldn't HongQin run or jog to recover the ball??

Words were exchanged and suddenly, both men rained blows of punches on each other. They had to be seperated by their stunned teammates.

The Sitting Devil.

Is it GuoQiang's fault for 'mis-kicking' the ball or is it HongQin's fault for not picking up the loose ball as the last man of defence??

Visit GuoQiang's blog for his side of the story.

Can You FIFA? - 2E4 Style (Week 7)

Is it you being featured today?! If not, it could be you next week! All statistics are confirmed by official Actim Index of the Barclays Premier League. Idea adopted from 'Can You FIFA08' and published by Actim Index. Players are created with FIFA06.

Farhan "Quick Feet" Yazid
17 Years Old
Midfielder/Striker

Lightning quick technical pair of footballing feet.
Equally adapted with his fast hands for guitar and masturbat*ng.

Famously known for his quick feet. Farhan has a large array of technical football skills hidden in him. Underestimate his small body size if you dare, for he can easily sonic-ed past you leaving you rooted to the ground.

Farhan is at least better than Samuel in marking and tackling and everything to do with defending. But maybe Farhan should sometimes forget about the girls and their bras and concentrate on football and guitar.

15th June Special Tournament Report

enter code: GQIII.Y2J

Players: Farhan Daud; Ariff; Samuel; HongQin; Nash; GuoQiang

The Team went to the competition and sadly to say, we didn't win a single match and thus were booted out of the competition early. Even so, the team gained some needed experience and entertainment.

The court was bigger in size, there was so much space for a 10 men game whereas in Pending, a 10 men game would be small and squeezy.

There was the matter of the size of the ball. It is a big court and we had to play with a size 4 ball. Though we have size 2 balls around with us all the time, we still needed to adapt quickly to the tournament ball.

Then we had to be careful too. Telok Blangah is notorious for their Indian gangs, according to my friend. If we won a match, our opponents might engage in a war of punches and kicks with us.

Actually, the Manager of the Team had already laid out a defensive tactic for the team and it was working. But 'someone' had a lapse of concentration at the last minute and conceded the goal.

Ariff was voted Best Player in our team for his outstanding saves.

In the end, we received a consolation trophy each and all but Samuel walked the long way to HarborFront Mall just to change clothes and eat and slept in the bus all the way home.

I have identified some really outstanding players in Euro. So far, I have not seen any outstanding defenders that is as SOLID as Vidic.

Forwards

Podolski

I love his left leg and the way he links up play. Chop his left leg and give it to me. He hails from Bayern Munich.

Van Nistelrooy

Sometimes I hate him, sometimes I love him. I can't explain the reason why I hate him. He's the world BEST GOAL POACHER. That damn good. Give him a ball in the penalty box and 70% he will score that.

Soya Bean, Toni

He cannot head well, cannot finish off chances, cannot shoot properly. The only consolation is that he can pass well. But he is supposed to score goals!

David Villa

Villa Villa Villa. I Love Villa. I want to buy a original Spain Jersey and print Villa on the back. He's the only player that can make me waste this money.

2 top goalkeepers in the tournament. Macho and Borac. Great shot stoppers.

By Samuel

There have been some upsets in Euro'08 so far. Lets take a look at ALL of them. Some of them greatly affected my pocket lining.

Holland v Italy
Who thought that World Champions Italy will get a spanking from Netherlands without Robben?

France v Romania
Who thought that France will face a stalemate with lowly Romania?

Switzerland v Turkey
Who thought that the host will get eliminated before the quarter finals? They are better than Belgium!

Croatia v Germany
Woo! This is classic. After that first round display of pOliSheD football against the Polish, who will have thought that Germany will get polished by the Croats. Afterall, there's something behind the scene for this match.. My wallet went from the thickness of a dictionary to a copy of newspaper.

Italy v Romania
Lose this and Italy will have to book air tickets back home. Is it? I thought Italy will get scared and go all out, full force attack. But they played like they have no engine, no speed, no haste. Their pace was fucking naybet slow. Our team can play faster tempo than them.

Holland v France
Oranje! They think they are the bulldozers in Euro, sweeping everyone aside without battling an eyelid. Indeed they are. 7 goals against Italy and France in the space of 4 days. What does that tell you? Back the Oranges. But I fear Romania will hold them next! Will Holland get held up? Tell me!

13th June Football Report

enter code: GQIII.Y2J

Players: Ariff; RenJin; HongQin; Nash; Farhan Yazid; Samuel; Ming; Vimal; Farhan Daud; GuoQiang

Friday The 13th

Today is really Friday the 13th! Which explains why our 2 top goalscorer both netted 13 goals each although they both broke goalscoring records!! Creepy!!! Must also be why RenJin scored 3 own goals! And GuoQiang conceding goals to Vimal..!!

Squad Injuries

Imagine having 3 players injured with 2 days to go to a tournament. Luckily, Nash and GuoQiang recovered to boost moral back into the team. Ariff is still clutching his ankle. Vimal shall pay for injuring him!!!

Flaming Tempers

Both Farhan Yazid and HongQin had outbursts in respective matches. They were probably not happy with their 'bed-encounters' last night.

Goalscoring Drought

Believe it or not, the team's Inspirational Captain of Excellence has not scored a single goal consecutively in around 3 weeks!! Word is he is willing to be the keeper or the substitute to let his team-mates play, thus explaining his poor record of goals.

Can You FIFA? - 2E4 Style (Week 6)

Is it you being featured today?! If not, it could be you next week! All statistics are confirmed by official Actim Index of the Barclays Premier League. Idea adopted from 'Can You FIFA08' and published by Actim Index. Players are created with FIFA06.

RenJin "Hokkien Maestro"
17 Years Old
Defender

Rock solid and tough tackling.
Ability to spew out explicit Hokkien phrases within seconds.

RenJin started out with minimal ball control, at least he didn't adopt the infamous 'Eagle Strike' move. His control and defending improved admirably within a year and his tackling aggression is well-known in the team. It's suprising he hasn't broken someone's ligaments yet.

RenJin has everything to become the Top 2 Defender in the team, with the Best Defender being Guo Qiang though. All RenJin needs is to participate in the Team's tournaments to prove his mettle.

7th June Football Report

Players: Vimal; Ariff; QingHuang; RenJin; HongQin; Samuel; Nash; Farhan Daud; GuoQiang

With Vimal recently on a good goalscoring form, everyone wants to outdo him. Samuel wants to outscore him and Qing Huang wants to let Vimal know who the boss of the court is.

The Team Photo? Who's Missing??

The Hot Rod Striker And The Hard Rock Defender.

Remember last 2 weeks when there was a report about a streaker pole-dancing around in the court early in the morning? Well, apparently, someone doesn't like the nude pole-dancing streaker and issued a very 'broken engrish' warning to the infamous nudist.

For The Infamous Pole-Dancer.

Meanwhile, the goalscoring charts and the caps system will take effect now. Remember to check your statistics!

And don't forget to check the photos and videos gallery.

Big News Report!!

enter code: GQIII.Y2J

Team 2E4 striker Vimal had just shocked the manager by declaring himself unfit for several months. It is unclear if the team doctors actually approve his medical documents.

Vimal is quoted as saying:

"I'll be out for months, for a complete knee recovery because NS is on the way."

If he really is unfit, the team will sorely miss his recent run of goalscoring form which saw him netted 7 and 8 goals in two seperately weeks respectively.

Can You FIFA? - 2E4 Style (Week 5)

Is it you being featured today?! If not, it could be you next week! All statistics are confirmed by official Actim Index of the Barclays Premier League. Idea adopted from 'Can You FIFA08' and published by Actim Index. Players are created with FIFA06.

Ariff "Bob"
17 Years Old
Defender/Goalkeeper

Ability to break ligaments; strong buff defending.
An avid motorcycles maniac.

As you can see, Ariff is a strong and muscular defender. But he is also capable of attacking. On his day, he can net in 5 goals. There seems to be an engine inside him that revs him up for making crunching ligament-tearing tackles, I wonder who 'polish' that 'engine' every night??

>

As you can also see, Ariff is very good at goalkeeping, his safe hands can catch any kinds of balls including his own. Despite his muscular size, he can leap high into the air to parry airbourne shots.

Editor's Notes

How The Caps System Work Here:

First, I've give each player 50 caps for the 5 years we played together with the exception of Vimal, Alvin Yeo and Azhari.

Why? Because as we all know, these 3 players seldom attend our football matches often.

So, I've decided, with the opinions of others to give these 3 players 25 caps each.

Next, I counted the number of times we each played since this blog started, adding on to our 50 or 25 caps.

And I've also added caps to players who participated respectively in the Brewerkz and the Ngee Ann competions.

From now on, I shall add caps for every appearance including tournaments.

Those who reached 100 caps shall be honored like Beckham for England, Figo for Portugal and Zidane for France!!
